In life we do things that we are not proud of and we can’t tell anybody and we try to hide it. Christ already knows. He already knew you were going to do it. He forgives you because no one is perfect. His mercy is renewed every day giving us a chance to get it right. Just because His mercy and grace are infinite doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want and God will continue to forgive you. He get tired sometimes as well. Just know God loves you despite your mistakes, He’s forgiving. Our secrets are safe with Him. We can trust Him.

Prize possessions

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Luke 12:34 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (NIV)

Too often we put our faith in other things like money, power and clothes.  We need to learn to trust God instead of putting Him on the back burner of our life.  God will always be there for us no matter what circumstance we are in if we would only trust Him.  I know life get busy and we can focus on whats wrong, attempting to fix it ourselves(I’m completely guilty of this) but only God can solve the problems of life. Put your faith, your treasures EVERYTHING in Him.

Hollywood

It seems sometimes that the grass is always greener on the other side but in reality it is not.  Often that “greener grass” is covering up rocks, unfertile soil and holes. But we don’t see it because we only see the surface not the underlying contents.  Once we learn that everything is not what is seems we will be grateful for what we have and not compare ourselves to others, because in comparing we are unaware of what we have. Always be grateful!

Endings:Happy

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

“And they lived happily ever after” one of these best used quotes at the end of nearly every fairytale to add the dream like façade. For born again Christians we have a happy ending; in heaven. This was just the journey to the promise land; everything will all be worth it. Always remember that at the end of every struggle is a victory so fight “a good fight” as Paul said and “finish the race” to that you too can be victorious and live in the place that Christ has prepared for us. Be ready

Aggravation

Sometimes people push you till you get frustrated and irritated, it seems like every time they talk to you they want something, or saying things to be spiteful. They always have something to say to ruin your mood. Don’t let that get under your skin just forgive them. Aggravation does nothing but make the situation worse because you act out of that emotion.  At times we can treat God like that when we talk to Him we are always asking for stuff “God please fix this, help me with this, and don’t let me fail this” and I’m pretty sure that aggravating to Him too. We should not always come to Him complaining either; there is always someone out there who is wishing they had what you have. This week work on a more positive outlook and thanking Christ for everything.

Challenge

Psalms 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear , though the earth be removed , and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled , though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

Life is unfair…one of the most common sayings when things do not work out and are sliding down hill. This is so true: it seems as if one bad thing happens after another and you can’t seem to get a break. Just know that Christ is with you through the good, the bad, the ugly and the worse. He said in His word he’ll never leave you or forsake you. God’s support is all you need, through the earth shakes, storms and rising water God will care for you and He has you in His hands.

Giving

21 Feb

Have you ever heard it’s better to give than receive? Well hopefully you have. Giving is something beautiful, something that many people have a hard time doing. Giving doesn’t have to be about money, it can be your time, an ear for someone who needs to talk or helping hand. Everyone had something to offer and everyone had a unique gift that needs to be put to work. Make sure you do what you love and love what you do. Always give 100% because nobody likes when you half so something. Always remember that God gave His best, His Son Jesus Christ, so if He did so can YOU.

Psalsm 139:13 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (NIV 1984)

There are times when we feel like we aren’t good enough, aren’t pretty enough. But God made you just the way you’re  supposed to be made. Sometimes when you look at other people they seem to get all the attention, while you’re left in the background. God didn’t make anything to be less than anything else. You are beautiful in your own way, you are unique. God doesn’t look on the outside it’s what is on the inside that really matters. Just know you are loved

Perspective: Positve

20 Feb

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones -Proverbs 17:22

your perspective about life is really important. Never feel as if life is just a slow dying process rather think of each day as a blessing, a chance to do better, to be better, love more, and go deeper in Christ. Even in the midst of your trial just know that it is perfecting you, getting you to be more Christ-like. Life is a wonderful gift, many people before and after you wish they had another day to live and enjoy life. God’s love should help carry you through; His love should be the light in a dark place. His love is LIFE

Classics

20 Feb

When classics come to mind I think they are something original, an example or a standard for excellence. Marilyn Monroe was always a model of what beauty is and is iconic for her looks. Who do you consider to be a classic? Original? A model for excellence? I think Jesus is easily iconic but doesn’t get all the show and glam He deserves. When Christ came into the world He came in a manger and was surrounded by barn animals. He didn’t demand attention, He was born to a normal life but He is FAR from Normal. God is the ultimate supreme, He is divine in every way, Nothing is normal about Him. If God, this big and awesome, loves and cares for you so much why shouldn’t you love Him?
